Grand Prix scientifique 2010 - Appel à candidature

Créé en 2002, le Grand Prix est décerné chaque année à une personnalité scientifique ayant apporté une contribution scientifique importante en physiologie, biologie ou médecine cardio-vasculaire. Cette dénomination, prise au sens le plus large, inclut génétique, épidémiologie, physiologie, clinique, imagerie, thérapeutique, pharmacologie, et le développement du système cardio-vasculaire.

Le montant du Grand Prix Lefoulon-Delalande est de 500 000 €. Il sera attribué en 2010 dans les conditions ci-après :

Dépôt des dossiers : les dossiers en 15 exemplaires doivent être adressés au Président du Conseil Scientifique de la Fondation Lefoulon-Delalande, Bureau des Fondations, Institut de France, 23 quai de Conti, 75270 PARIS Cedex 06

Date limite de dépôt des dossiers : 29 janvier 2010

Date de décision d’attribution : 9 avril 2010

Constitution du dossier
Le dossier de candidature doit comprendre :

• Une proposition de candidature établie par une haute personnalité scientifique en utilisant le formulaire officiel (à télécharger .doc / .pdf)
• Un curriculum vitæ du candidat (1 page)
• Un rapport de présentation scientifique du candidat insistant principalement sur les contributions scientifiques qui méritent le Grand Prix (maximum 2 pages)
• La liste des 10 principales publications

Important :

1. Le dossier de candidature doit être présenté en français et en anglais.
2. Aucune candidature proposée ne sera acceptée si :
   • le formulaire officiel de proposition de candidature établi par une personnalité scientifique n’est pas rempli
   • les pièces nécessaires à la constitution du dossier ne sont pas jointes
   • des pièces complémentaires non demandées sont rajoutées
3. Une candidature non retenue les années précédentes peut être à nouveau présentée à condition d’être actualisée. Il est souhaitable qu’elle soit proposée par une personnalité scientifique différente.

Created in 2002, the Grand Prize will be given each year to a scientist who has made important contributions to cardiovascular physiology, biology, or medicine. Taken in the widest sense, these fields also include developmental biology, genetics, epidemiology, physiology, as well as clinical biology, imaging techniques, therapeutics, and the pharmacology of the cardiovascular system.

The Lefoulon-Delalande Grand Prize, of 500 000 euros, will be awarded in 2010.

The following conditions will apply:

Submission of the dossiers: 15 copies of the dossier must be addressed to the President of the Scientific Council of the Lefoulon-Delalande Foundation, at the following address:

Deadline for the reception of the dossiers: January 29, 2010

Date of award decision: April 9, 2010

Constitution of the dossier:

• A nominating proposal by a distinguished scientist using the official form
• A curriculum vitæ (1page)
• A description of the scientific achievements of the candidate focusing especially on those contributions that deserve the Grand Prize (2 pages maximum)
• A list of 10 major publications

Please note :

1. The Institut de France requires that the nomination form be presented in both French and English.
2. A candidacy can only be accepted if :
   • The official nominating form, established by a distinguished scientist, has been duly completed
   • All required documents for establishing a dossier are included
   • No additional documents have been appended
3. A candidacy that was not selected in the previous years can be resubmitted provided that the project is updated and submitted preferably by a new distinguished scientist.
